    Ah, 3 pm my time. Sadly then I probably can't be around for that. I'll likely be on the normal server before hand for our normal weekend get together though. Though also.... 8 GMT is 2 CST.... I imagine this is what happens when we're not careful with the fact that it's DST right now

    I will tentatively say I'll be there around both times. I do have some things to do Saturday but by and large they're in the gap between play times. Still no mic, but I did do a reinstall that seriously cut down on my crashes (but didn't remove them entirely). Getting a mic is still on the short term to-do list, but it's been a busy week.

    I hate to say it, because I'm old and set in my ways (not really that old), but I am starting to prefer discord. It's just a lot more flexible and less buggy than TS in my experience.

    Ironically, thanks to my actions, my existing gaming commitment next weekend is canceled, but I still won't have a mic by then

    While I overall think it's probably a good change, it almost might be a case of people needed to 'get used' to Metro again. People might get with the program on mines in a week or two (or other tactics).

    There's always a few good uses even if the other team is alert. About a month ago or so on a rather large Complex game I got one and snuck into the power plant, which was the signal for the tanks to rush the coil. A week later I yanked a demo from someone on RidgeWar as they bought it but unfortunately hopped back out because I was spamming the button too hard

    For the record, I wasn't actually objecting to Voe earlier or anything. Just wanting to make sure we are sure Also while we're all here, and since we now have these new friends/resources, where do you guys go to test out your new game ideas? I have kind of an idea but I need to check out some resources before I can even think of making it a game.

    Sounds like we all need to revisit the Timeline thread, that's one of my favorites (Not to enforce a view on anyone, just the opposite, because it's a fun thread to have a discussion in)

    I've already read most of the mafias since the start of 2016 as 'research'. That said, packing all that info in so quickly while we were playing Death Note makes a lot of it run together. It's not something I'd be trying to jump to the top of the playlist with, that's for sure.

    If you die Day 1 I will GM a game themed around the group. Not APB themed, but a game where everyone will be assigned a role based off another forumite.

    I spent probably two hours on LAN one day trying to find the volcano on volcano back in the day Doesn't one of Reborn's maps have a tiberium volcano or something? The one with the broke dam, I've not played Reborn more than cursory looks at the maps so I'm not really sure.

I mean, that's fine, just saying. While my inexperience is mostly what keeps me out of the running, it also leads me to not feel qualified to make the call on Voe unless we all really want it

    To be fair, we were so confident in our victory, some of what I did was deliberate bait so I'd have intel on you (you specifically actually) for next game But yeah, I acknowledge those concerns. I wouldn't put myself forward unless literally everyone else here opts out. You're all ahead of me in line, so to speak, as far as I'm concerned.

    Just got back from the store (and when I say the, there's literally only one store around here). They don't have any mics aside from a few 50 dollar headsets, so I might check amazon later

    If it comes down to time commitments, I'm free pretty much for the foreseeable future and will have more than enough time. There will possibly be a 24 hour time period I'll be incapacitated due to major surgery in the medium term future (don't have a date set), but assuming the date isn't exactly the start date for a game or something I'd be fine, and actually literally be confined to my room for about a month with nothing else to do

    That looks interesting. Obviously can't say 100% it'll work, but I have high hopes. Maybe add in a destroyed gap generator and blame it screwing physics for all the logical inconsistencies (I still don't quite understand 100% what a gap generator is even supposed to *be* )

    Yeah I was getting the name confused with with the one that has bots now. It seems I'm always destined to like the ones that nobody else did. In Beta my favorite map was Stormy Valley, after all On Hourglass: I checked it out in the archive. I don't think I ever played APB on it, but it looks viable IMO.

    I'd say even things like Guard Duty would be fine.
