  1. I'll do my best, there is a heavy storm coming into the area and may be an issue.
  2. Beautiful to see nice new textures to accompany these units!
  3. Still think the main issue could simply be solved if smoke or a trail come from the grenade he threw. Then his location isn't so hidden. I find this still to be the main... and honestly only issue.
  4. Honestly, one of the main issues is detection. Is it not possible to give his grenade some sort of trail like Volkov's to make it visible? Also, with the large advantage allies get with a medic as is, do they really need to take one of the soviets few units on as well?
  5. Most likely wont make it as my daughters party is at 4:00 gmt, if I'm lucky though I may be back in time.
  6. Too true. Helmets unless specialized rarely do great again much more than 9 mm and usually at 100m or more so that's fair. Too bad we couldn't have a 10% engine of deflection but that would be nit picking haha. The same with dodging could be said with Tanya and why she can take so many hit considering her characters worn armor. I would assume realistically she'd be avoiding far more bullets if she was truly mobile.
  7. Was a nice watch. Must say my favorites were always Red Alert (Counter strike), Frank Klepacki's music and Kane himself. I still find it to be the best of the C&C franchise, however tiberium isn't within that time sphere unfortunately. Like I had said previously, EA was the downfall, and killing Renegade 2 for battlefield 1942 was a miss. But at least we got what we did, and hopefully EA will bring something great back some day. I was never a fan for C&C 4 as the mobile bases killed it. And even Red Alert 3 was a miss for me. I liked the new ideas a naval, but I found it cheapened the game with porn stars, everything died too easily, spamming units was too easy and of course as stated above, the push to micro. But I guess we all have our own tastes eh?
  8. That's true, but then if we wanted to get picky, we'd have no headshot bonuses at all, if we were targeting the RTS itself.
  9. That is their main role, however it depends on the helmet. Many are made to stop bullets, especially 9mm. However, getting up to sniper caliber and higher is a likely miss. WW2 era helmets did mostly 9mm and .45 at best most commonly. Newer helmets, past the 80s and current can stop even 7.62. However ones sporting such lofty protection from 5.56 and 7.62 are usually specialized for that task. P.S. I forgot to mention those are automatic rifle rounds, not full kick sniper rounds, as they tend to have much more fill and penetration.
  10. I feel giving speed only would give LBs an advantage again, as they are smaller and more nimble than the hinds though. Not to say I don't love my LBs...
  11. Yes, this will be more help for players too, as they often build so much that you need to be at the War Factory, and even do an obstacle course to get around them at times. I wonder if anyone will call for helmets to actually decrease damage at last? I mean it would make sense, but people will probably whine for their HS multiplier. Good to see another one back. Always loved coming at the enemies from the south while the north was busy.
  12. Yeah I get where you are coming from Einstein. I used to be the same with "bottling up". Now I simply let it out bit by bit, and then the final explosion tends to be a bit more of a fizzle than a bang. We all have our ways of dealing with pain, and I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of. Never understood why we put such a stigma on pain and sexual things in general. (not that sexual things has anything to do with this, but it's something else that has a large stigma as well)
  13. Wish I could of been there. Will be looking around this weekend coming up for sure!
  14. Hmm, an interesting take on this. I suppose that is an alternate solution. If they aren't in huge numbers and easy to farm.
  15. As I've never been one to hide the truth (minus when I'm asked to keep things secret), I've been a bit absent as of late. This is due to the passing of my uncle, which came as a surprise. The thing is, he asked his family not be told of his fate till he passed. So it was a shocking blow of sorts. I've already talked to Nodlied about it, but figured why hide things, I've never been the sort. Anyways, I see a funeral as a celebration of life, rather than a sorrow of death. Thank you everyone for condolences, and may your family and friends be of good health. P.S. On that note, if anyone cares to share, how do you feel of the passing of family and friends?
  16. That's true. Could make finding a spy easier too =(. As you ask them to talk... and silence... haha.
  17. That sounds great. You are going to leave testing ground at least for offline use though I hope. <3 Skatey* Perry =P
  18. Yes, we'd need to remove the kills from them. However I don't see points being much harm, as you can simply shoot a building all day long. And do less help than killing off bot defenders. Perhaps having bot vehicles instead of infantry, with no "crew" might be a middle ground for that problem?
  19. Yes please no Infantry DM maps. Unless they are 5 min cool downs in between anyways.
  20. With all that being said, even the early development version of AR is doing quite well. But not nearly enough for release due to placeholders and all such.
  21. Isn't that the truth haha. I was out of the loop though, so figured it was worth asking.
  22. I must say Apocalypse Rising is my favorite of the series due to the uniqueness of the units. I still love using flak troopers to hit infantry behind cover... it's like a mini artillery soldier. And yes the IFV's are great. When will it go public? I still have the old tester version... which I don't talk much of, of course. But when will a new public one be available? Or do we have an ETA yet?
  23. I would be up for this as well. Would be nice to have balanced teams, and not have a good group hug the same team.
  24. Interesting, needs work like a GUI, or at least tooltips. But it's cool to see things implemented into a completely different engine like that.
