    TT re-examined your set of DLL files and determined that's not what is causing the game not to work. The crashdump indicated a certain missing file (font6x8.dds). It has since been fixed so that the game will no longer crash if this file is missing. The next patch should include a scripts update which will include this fix. In the meantime, clean out your crashdump folder. If the game crashes again after the patch, upload the crashdump here again and the team will look at what's wrong.

    According to saberhawk, you have "an unknown vcruntime140.dll and various DLLs from Windows 7 RTM, 7 SP1, 8 RTM, 8.1 RTM, 10 Technical Preview 14393, 10 Threshold 2." Have you made modifications to your OS that you can reverse?

    To add onto this, Renegade had a lot of box canyon maps with few routes for actual strategy, so the gameplay ended up being a lot of meatgrinder gameplay with people sitting in the same place and shooting/repairing the whole round.

    I loved Zero Hour and its major mods, although the massive desync issues in MP games ended up pushing me away from the engine. Is that something you think is fixable with this project?

    This is like asking how going in water will make a person wet. The whole purpose of having a release standard is to release a playable and fun game. If we can't do that, why release?

    I haven't looked at it and I don't have time to right now, but, thought I'd ask real quick, is there a similar guide for DDO? Forgive me if it's already covered in the guide above.

    By hertz you mean frames per second? Try editing engine.cfg to change vsync to false. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding you and 144hz is your monitor's native refresh rate..

    I've stated this before, but folks tend to view "the old days" with rose-colored glasses. The old days are overrated and there were really a lot of days with no players then too.

    I'm sure KY means stuff like how to balance a game correctly (ratios of players and PR's on each team, when certain roles are needed or not needed, etc) and a step-by-step process for GMing. It's more than managing Google Docs and tallying up votes. You need to not give away sensitive information but give as much information as is needed for the game to thrive. You need to not forget things like renaming the thread title every morning/evening and how to calculate a chain of night actions, especially if players target each other. If there's RNG, a description of how that works. So yeah, stuff.

    Nah it's just that you had all day D2 to defend yourself but chose to come in less than 10 minutes before hammer to defend yourself and try to get votes off.
