  1. The motive is Jihad, as it has been for the last 20 years. Don't act so surprised >_>

  2. Interesting setup. Dynamic roles and actions will probably cause a lot of chaos, besides kam joining us. I also see a lot of RNG, opposite to Death Note where there was none so perhaps this time, CK and FRAYDO, our best RNGesus disciples should be "covered" by having lots of fun. I am very busy lately during days and I still have lot of problems to handle so can't really join (and pay attention), besides I need to find time and will to finish a couple of role docs I left unfinished in DNM. Best of luck to all.

  4. http://www.moddb.com/mods/cc-assault http://en.ccassault.com Commando Assault is a mod which was first released in 2010 for C&C Renegade. And it allows to build up base from scratch on Westwood 3D game engine. Inspired by Battlezone series of videogames. Has its separate music (including Frank Klepacki's works that he exclusively approved for this mod, some of my remakes of his famous songs and even my new melodies) and unique features. Want to speed up construction rate to reduce time you are waiting for new purchase that you made? To capture existing building or steal it while it is not deployed yet (or even MCV)? To drop player-controlled tanks in the rear of enemy base? To win with one useless structure? You have all in one. Welcome back again, commander, crush your enemies with your own 3D-hands and lead your forces to fight. More tactics, more fun, more teamplay. Some videos are under spoiler: Feel free to discuss and share this stuff =)

  5. [blurb]Coming soon to a RA:APB near you! Introducing the Yakovlev Yak-9P![/blurb] [thumb]thumb_apb.7.png[/thumb] Red Alert: A Path Beyond Dev. Blog Yakovlev Yak-9P Set to debut on Guard Duty, the Yak will afford the Soviets an incredible alpha-strike in their arty-hunting efforts. The Yak can reach speeds of up to 45m/s (the next fastest unit being the Longbow at a mere 24m/s) and expend its magazine in a minimum of 1.33 seconds. The Yak boasts infinite ammo but with a long reload time, although that shouldn't matter much as once you've expended your magazine you're turning around for your next attack. It's splash damage ignites infantry, better allowing your comrades to finish the task should your target remain alive. While mostly effective against infantry and light vehicles, the Yak can still find opportunities in armour-broken heavy vehicles that are on the retreat. As in Red Alert, the Yak will cost 800. With a health of 350 and lack of armour, be advised that your attack runs will leave you vulnerable to return fire. Choose your battles wisely and you can stay airborne for long periods and dish out more punishment than a Hind can. Unlike the Hind however, in the event you are shot down your infantry will also die in the crash. Airfield It goes without saying that the Airfield will also be included as a new structure. Purchased Yaks will fly onto the strip waiting for takeoff, and here you repair and can sell your Yak. It should be noted that the Airfield is technically a "Helipad" in the code, making it unlikely to see both buildings on the same map. Nonetheless, we can discuss how to fit the Airfield and Yak into high-tech maps and implementing them in the future.[thumb]thumb_apb.7.png[/thumb]

  6. Interesting changes. Let's see how it plays out. However I will just say that: 1. You would think the flamethrower's armor is what makes him flameproof, not health. Maybe swap it for realism's sake? Suicide on low health should also be a valid tactic for him, makes things more interesting in this game. 2. Tanya/Volkov change - I'm still not sure about the lack of armor, but is this an overall buff or nerf? Also, you just reminded me that all three Tanyas in Ra never wore anything other than a tight tank-top (how did she have so much health in Ra3?!!!!). I guess you are trying to really go Ralistic here. Volkov though I don't get, he's a robot and should have a lot of armor. Didn't he have tank armor plating in Ra lore? It would actually be interesting if you made Kov more vulnerable to AT weapons and tank weapons, and Tanya more to small-arms.

  7. With the Prime Minister authorising Operation Temperer to be deployed, there are about 5000 British Army soldiers patrolling the streets, much of them in Manchester and London, such as Westminster, Buckingham Palace, etc. I haven't seen any soldiers but in my city (Norwich) the armed police have been deployed, which is rare in of itself considering British police do NOT carry firearms by default, that is handled by a separate unit. Though that being said there's already controversy of soldiers being deployed because it's a throwback to The Troubles in Northern Ireland due to the army patrolling those streets and it... ended rather badly. But yeah, the sad part is, the security services knew about the bloke and did nothing about it, according to the Home Secretary.

  14. You people are control freaks and are willing to fix something which isn't broken. You can't design a rigid system which would account for all the nuances of every single player playing the game. Drop the topic before something breaks for real.

  18. Proper LT usage is about speed and maneuverability. Get behind the HT where they can't hit you. Rush the flanks quicker than a med can. The element of surprise often offsets the lack of armor, if used right, as you'll get quite a few shots in before the enemy even knows what hits them. I've used it this way quite a bit lately, and I feel like back in the day even more people did so.
