That’s fair and valid. Although I think that the Nod route underground with vehicles (Where you’re facing GDI Conyard and Harv) balances it out since there are only two Turrets defending con yard/Harv. But that’s my opinion. I don’t know why the repair depots exist ether on both sides. It does allow a chokehold on ether team to be fair but Nod HAS to use amphibious units to get to its point while GDI can just take out Ref defenses then drive a mammoth tank up there. Seeing as Nod has Zero amphibious units that matter or don’t get 2 hit K/O’d by TOW Humvee it’s irrelevant. The 2S9 Nona doesn’t do anything against buildings anymore while the ADATS apparently reckts stuff. (I’ve yet to try it out).

While I do agree to this, it comes with a couple things that are special to IA in my opinion. - To really make efficient maps for this game you have to understand the game in the first place which I don't think any free lancer has ever heard of or played Interim Apex. This therefor makes it hard to design a map with zero knowledge of the game. What may look good in Call of Duty may actually just be a place where Nod can place all their artillery and blow up GDI base in seconds. - I haven't looked so I'm not going to exclude it out. But I would imagine many free lancers work on projects that deal with industry standard stuff like UE4. What this means is that a free lancer would have to learn how to use Renegade Map Maker or whatever it's called. - I've talked to Yap many times about this and for some reason he keeps saying that he wants for GDI to have the advantage on maps. Although this has lead to Nod having a major uphill battle nearly every round due to defenses that kill themselves, GDI getting an AGT while Nod gets nothing, defenses that can't hit a moving target (Flame Tower, Turrets, Tick Tank, Vanquisher Turret), and the Laser Turret having 1/4th the health that the GDI Pillbox does. As a result if a map was made by someone else that's not Yap I don't know if he would like it because he wants GDI to have the advantage or playstyle mentioned. - The requirements of making someone make a map would dictate an increased price to learn the material. If it's someone from here that already knows what to do and would do it for $ like the APB Team. Then I could see it working. Saying this, the problem with the maps in IA after playing for so long is that GDI has a better base. The ADATS is WAY better, the gun towers are slightly better and the MANTIS 35mm is better. In addition most maps like I said have an AGT that slows everything down for Nod. For example. Maps which I consider extremely good and I believe a lot of other people do as well are - Hidden Valley - Infinite Isle (debatable) - Vile_Facility (New) - Urban_Conflict (The Vehicle and Infantry Map. NOT Infantry only) - Blazing Sands (Debatable but still a fun time) - Cold_River Why are these maps favorited? Well Vile_Facility (New) started to get rave reviews after the removal of AGT. I also believe this applies to Urban conflict. It speeds up gameplay tremendously and helps Nod on a level playing field because on both mentioned maps Nod did not have an OB. What other reasons..? - The maps encourage aggressive gameplay with different routes that can be utilized. - You can mine critical places. But you still kinda have to defend your base. This means you can go all defence or all offensive and will be doing something. - Some of the maps listed are Meat Grinders but not "Kill Zone Maps". Kill zone maps imo are maps like Orca Heights or Great wall where it's impossible to do anything without taking major damage, then being attacked while trying to attack the base constantly because the routes are so forced. These are the maps people don't like. - Hidden_valley is not a Killzone map because it's just perfectly spaced out enough where you can attack the middle but you have no where to hide if you do. You also can't hit from the left side of the map to the right. - Most of these maps encourage gameplay but placing a Silo or an ATM the enemy team must take. If you're being whored out you can take the silo or ATM to turn the tide. Making for an exciting game. My suggestion would be to make maps yourself or get some people to make Renegade Maps. I would like to help if you choose to do so. I believe that there are some games such as Company of Hero's that have great map ideas that we can use. For example, I've wanted to use "Angoville" for a long time and think it would be incredible. Take a look at this quick mock up I did. As you can see in the map idea. - The defenses can be killed but actually make it so you can't just rush in much like Hidden_Valley. This makes them worth defending but never impossible to defeat for the other team. - Green Tib route that AI Harvs go to. Like Cold_River this will encourage fierce gameplay from both sides for their harv. - Blue Tib in the middle that Players can go Harv and Nod can use Mutants to reheal on. Adding more dynamic to the game. It's however in the middle of the map and camped by 3 houses. Making it a risk for both sides. - Forg Silo (Red) that awards those who can hold the position. Easily killed by either side and easily capturable. This forces aggressive gameplay. - Possible Com Center for the map to encourage ether side to actually care about their economy. Encouraging aggressive gameplay. This can also be used to make defenses stronger if you defend them. Or speed up income encouraging you to actually repair the silo or protect the harv. - House near the Green Tib Field that ether side can use to hold a position there if they prefer infantry. - The map ideally would be the size of about Hidden Valley/Cold_River making it short but fierce gameplay. Both have proven to always be a good game playing IA for three years. Both can go for ethier side and are very balanced in my opinion. - The walls are just a quick idea but can be redone to decide the best places to put them. The walls being destructable also add a dynamic to the game so that ethier team can't just camp forever. You want a good map. I believe something like this is how you do it.

Interim Apex has a system where tanks have weakspots in their armor like in real life. For example the rear armor means you take like 10% more damage if you get shot there. The is exaggerated on some vehicles. This means if you land an extremely lucky shot as a 105mm Centurion into the middle turret ring you can 1 shot the tank. Also if you're invisible or think you are, check your radar constantly if you're being shot at for no reason. If there is a red dot where you are, that means you are being detected by an MSA.

Incredible news! It actually works. You're able to see the different language displayed on the unit HUD. This means I should be able to turn all the HUD into Chinese for you. This also means other languages can be supported so it's not just limited to abcdefghIjklmnop.. etc.. I may need your help with some more unit names I forgot to include. But i'm working on IA's first outter language strings now. -

The dogs that become mutants were more than likely just normal stray dogs as due to people abandoning major cities in hours due to tiberium and war. We can see IRL people abandoning their homes and unfortunately pets when hurricanes happen or other natural disasters. I can imagine that this would be exuberated in TS due to how fast the conflict moved. These stray dogs probably just mutated into what we see in TS. In terms of the official attack dogs, they disappeared from the strategy of both armies as this topic is obviously discussing. I believe the reason for so during Tiberian Sun is that the world simply became too toxic and infected. Every GDI and Nod soldier dons helmets and gear to help protect them. With the exception of Slavik and a couple of other units for aesthetical reasons, we can see that both armies are doing their best to protect themselves from the world they're fighting in. In fact most of the units we see without gear are mutants themselves. My best guess for the dogs disappearing is that the world has become too infected and using dogs would only kill them or turn them into untrainable tiberium fiends. It was just too much of a risk to take for either side or became ineffective to use because other units had taken their place in a more safer better way (For example, wolverines were able to move fast and kill people a lot better and safer than a dog could). (Although it should be noted some missions allowed you to take control of a fiend. Maybe Nod and GDI never were able to or trusted training tiberium fiends.) -

DoDoCat. Thank you very much for providing these translations. I however, have to request that you read the above. Renegade as it’s been discussed will not handle custom characters other than what’s provided. I will input some of the Text tomorrow into the string file (the list that defines what is called what in IA). The problem is, I don’t believe it will work because as said above Renegade doesn’t recognize Custom lettering from other countries like Russian or Chinese. I will try it and post the results. -

Apology accepted. You're still banned for at least two months. Every single game I have to baby sit you through spectating at the start of every game. Every single game you join I have players (and now other mods) coming up to me or making topics about you stealing peoples vehicles. Every time you steal someone's vehicle you blame it and troll them about it. Every time I !qkick, 24hr !kick or PM you about it you do it again. It's a big problem when i'm in game and I can only imagine the countless other times I haven't been around when you're hampering players who don't talk/notice you're the one who TH.

Good Evening Razorz13. You were banned by me for Team Hampering once again. Ever since I started playing this game two years ago you team hamper neraly every game in some way. Whether it's throwing grenades at buildings people are trying to build on your team, stealing other peoples vehicles and selling them (Or trying to destroy them), or your typical approach of stealing someone's vehicle then saying that they are team hampering you and to ban them. I have pulled the IRC logs which unfortunately for me go back only 8 times. The fact there are 8 marks in there that aren't all just AFK really says something. What's not listed here is the numerous warnings i've given you which has to be in the 100's through ethier pm or in public chat. This decision is coming from me and other moderators that you've Team hampered against. In terms of what was the final straw, you took Toxickun's Vehicle then tried to drive it off into the ocean. Then in classic Razorz13 fashion blamed him. It takes a lot for me to permantly ban someone from a game but every time. Every game. I have to spectate you and I am sick of baby sitting you especially since you know exactly what you're doing and have been warned banned before. I might give you another chance in two months. I've led 6 random people out of 10 to do rushes to end a game with mammoth tanks, T-62's or flame tanks. I am not saying you can't use teamwork with each other, but stop abusing the !swap command by leaving or telling other players to leave. Simply type !swap and wait for someone to swap. Then start to learn how to work with others on your team. Everyone is different and good at different things along with skill level. Effectively decide who should repair, who should provide support and who should constitute the main rush as a result of taking command with your team or organizing something. It's not my intention to. Believe it or not I really don't care if you guys are on the same team. It's the fact that people leave the game after you and ElySpain abuse the !swap command to get on the same team unfairly. If you use !swap and someone swaps with you the way it was meant to be, I don't have a problem with it. Type !swap and wait for someone to swap. Stop abusing it or I will start to !ftc you. @Kaskins or @dblaney1 is in charge of moderator discipline as they are admins.

You can keep a backup or Interim Apex. The files are located in Program files x86>W3DHub>Games>Interim Apex if memory serves correct. However... you should be aware that your backup in a couple months may be outdated and you'll have to update/redownload anyways from the launcher to play on the server.

I’ve messaged Kaskins about it and he’s on the fence about punishing players who do this. Notably, there was a !squad function that allowed players to always be on the same team but it got removed because every single game would be 6 god tier players against people who do nothing but repair and use a harvester. I will always do my best to balance the teams as the most important thing to me is giving the other team a fighting chance. No one wants to play what’s essentially a 7 v 2 (in a 10 v 10 game). Yes there is a game here and there that’s a steamroller but this is generally what I try to do. But I do understand the importance of having fun in a game with your mates. Therefor, I ask that if you want to go to the other team you use the !swap command instead of leaving and joining which I’m assuming is what’s happening here. I personally won’t punish honestly if you do abuse the leave and join since it’s not a rule yet... but if and when it starts to become a problem (As team balance has already) because people are leaving due to stacked teams, then expect to be balanced first to the other team by me when people leave. Along with Kaskins getting fed up/making a decision, punishing players with !ftc or !24hrbans if evading. Just use !swap @LiMaDo @ElySpain.

Hover MLRS for the price is very nicely balanced in my opinion. I feel the problem as said above is that nod has zero offensive ability on the water. Getting an aircraft is usually the answer but to Kickmofo's credit, your Hind can be killed by a Hover MLRS from far away by a skilled player or because you're trying to fly across the map to the Hover MLRS and taking hits during flight. The new Sprout Tank Unit is useless. It's too expensive, too weak, too slow, and I don't think it even has a machine gun. Only other option is the AMX-130 which is... a tank. It's really average in every regard. Not bad, but not specialized or able to do anything on it's own really unless in groups. It can harass units but is usually outranged by said Hover MLRS. I think it would be best if Nod got some amphibious love as the solution.

Good Evening and welcome! Are you by chance using the W3DHub Launcher to get online, or are you using Renegade itself? Are you trying to connect to Vanilla Renegade or Interim Apex? Are there any messages that occur when the game exits? Or do you join, it says Gameplay pending and then the game just crashes?

HELL YEAH! Is it possible for this to be implemented on the Interim Apex server? I believe the server is still using older scripts to make IA work however.
