Red Alert 1 - Two Allied Campaigns
thedisclaimitory replied to Chad1233's topic in Command & Conquer
kind of interesting actually, because the retaliation release on the PS1 went more Indepth with the Greece plot and ended up giving more perspective to the war in general. I think this was Something the game originally wanted to portray but i guess was cut out sadly. I'v just recently played the campaign according to the mainline story playing both soviet and allied missions back to back until they finally meet the crossover and the allies are the ones who win it out along with the other games that feature missions within certain side plots like the fall of greece and the serran gas or the counter strike missions. Playing it like this sort of makes things feel more weighted when you play these missions along with the mainline story back to back. It does beg the question of what was the original story supposed to be? We do have a lot of unused cutscenes that were repurposed into the mainline story, and a lot of just cut content from the story in general as seen here, - especially in tib dawns mainline story. -
Tiberian Dawn: Ground Zero Update #6
thedisclaimitory replied to Killing_You's topic in Tiberian Dawn: Ground Zero
they actually used both the calico/gau 3 eliminator,m16 and later the m4 with the 203 attachment as mention. It isn't really 100 percent based on the US. It was made as if the UN had a sort of paramilitary force at its disposal funded by countries comprised of different countries from the UN, hence the name Global-Defense-Initiative. brought to you by, the UN. *side note: we might get this in the verry verry near future* -

You know, i never thought we'd be back here, at a mod complaint table for one of the same mods for Interim Apex. I want to mention the list of names here but i wont because that would be a bit rude of me, instead i am going to make one simple recommendation and a solution Rec: give all of the mods a mod application prune all of the mods that fail the application and keep the ones who complete it Solution: This would solve the problem because A most of the mods were chosen either by IA's move over to w3dhub or B they were there from the start. Conclusion: So i thought this mod abuse thing was over, and yet here we are again, at the same place we were last time, when someone got banned and kicked for the most ridiculous of reasons, most of which were emotional reasons. emotion is what you should leave out when making a decision when being a mod. I'v had experience being one before and am one of a server rn. Sometimes i did not like the decisions i had to make but it was what I had to do, regardless if the person was saying things about me or judging me for my decisions that were apart of the rules not against them. the whole point of being a moderator is to see to it that the rules are applied to everyone and to enforce it, not to put your emotional beliefs and ideals into something that isnt yours and yet it is something so simple which is to uphold the rules. You aren't an admin you cant change and bend the rules you are a moderator, you keep the rules and enforce them simple as. Don't you use your power as a means to be higher than another, (that used to be a problem in IA thank GOD it isn't now), but this is still mod abuse and I ask you IA staff, to please look into your mod team, because this is a bit unacceptable, it was unacceptable then and it is unacceptable now. as much as there is evidence to support this complaint, Lynx has done nothing wrong so far, and if there still isn't, Please look into your moderation team, I can't help but remember exactly how many times i have been mod abused on IA in t he past because either someone was mad at me, or they were offended at a simple join message I had and they wouldn't let me change it at all even when i was warned in that same exact time frame to change it or be banned, i was still banned even when I changed it in chat, but this is beside the point, just look into the moderation team not for my sake but the player Bases sake. That is all

AR :: Mega Update
thedisclaimitory replied to moonsense715's topic in Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising
"The objects you see in this photograph are soviet missile silos, as you can see commander, they are a bit too close for comfort. I believe Romanovs intention is to keep ourselves within your war" Love it, cant wait to play this game. Also i love the new take with the gap generator ,and I hope it becomes better and more refined as the game develops, it sounds verry interesting indeed. -
THANK YOU, i knew it wasnt just me

footage of early renegade alpha (1999)
thedisclaimitory replied to wolf's topic in Command & Conquer
youd'd be surprised, this game went from what seemed like a more linear experince to something streamlined and with something that performed better overall at the time eventhough it took them longer, not even including the fact they wanted to put renegade on a console which is something that was pretty much a dream for them since the verry first build which could be equated to something of a mod -

now this footage i have not seen, and from the looks of it, i think explosion debris would have been a bigger thing, and if you go onto YouTube and put it on the miniplayer mode which downscales the image. you will be able to see it a bit more clearly and from the looks of things, the quality of the textures seems far more defined, this build could've been the latest build before they decided to do a complete overhaul on graphics optimization. Maybe they were looking into putting this game onto a console? i mean Afterall the verry first build was on a play station -

i think the kov shotgun should get a tiny buff or something changed because i dont see myself or anyother person who uses the shotgun on the volkov including myself, i tend to avoid it, like maybe add a burning affect like the old dragons breath shotgun except maybe better? or just make it into a sniper shot? idk something? i never like using nor do i completely dislike it, i just tend to avoid it, if i would like to
-
I liked how it rolled but it was harder to hit targerts at times and the shotgun wasnt as usefull either

kinda wish the sub could turn a bit faster

try 1v1-ing an LT with a btr, you wont win, unless you are constantly driving behind cover and even then you might still die or have other friends around to help like another BTR, I have seen that its one of the only ways a BTR can survive one LT in a 1v1 scenario unless, that LT is down to say 3/4s of its health or even less than half of its health, and that isn't even counting the fact that the driver might have a rocket solider or cap in that LT which can further destroy you if you cant handle it well with the gun's high bullet spread. The reason i bring the infantry into the mix is because when you face an LT, with every hit, your health goes down quick meaning that if that person has something like say an RS, he'll gut you quick, which is why when I'm about more than half health with the BTR, I always run back to where my team is when I'm low so i can support them or to get repairs. Sometimes, I don't make it, even though the BTR is kind of fast but this is one of the only units the soviets have up their sleeve that can do a hit and run/ rush support, effectively and that's if you can use it right, which isn't hard.
-
i feel the BTR is quite balanced, I think its really what the soviets needed that can not only be as an early-mid rusher but also as a great support unit. It works best early game as a support to an infantry rush or to a small tank rush of any kind, but if you see a light tank and have no support just run a way and if you can shoot back. Alot of people tend to say that its "OP" but i think that's too easy to say I mean, the apc is just as affective if not better which its supposed to. Here's a good example I remember fighting pyrel who was in an apc on North by north west and we both started out with a fresh amount of health, we killed each other at the same exact time, the only reason i died was because Pyerel's vehicle, before it magically De-spawned into a nothing-ness, "ran me over" at the last mili second. Anyway unlike the btr the apc carries people and those people seem to forget that ,and they also forget that the apc has somewhat more health and or armor than the btr and It also makes sense why the btr does a bit more damage than the apc. The dshk has a bit more power than a 50 cal realistically speaking but the 50 cal is more efficient comparatively and the same can be said in apb. That all being said, the BTR is probably the best vehicle at its priced range tier, higher than a ranger, lower than an apc, but weaker armor, it does a good amount of damage and can be used throughout most of a game. At times I wish we could carry maybe 2 passengers but at that point i think it would be a bit op but i could only see that happening if the ranger got 2 seats like it used to unless it was always one seat in which case, no. SOooo.... Come on down the big bill Hells, and get yourself a nicely used 750 dollar BTR with 0 APR/ financing and start dishing out suffering to those allied dogs Guaranteed

you dont wonna know
-
i think dogs could work out in apb, so where's my furry pen so I can launch an army of cosplaying dog furries at the allied base in apb. In all seriousness though, I think dogs could bring a good balance to the table if done right, if it has been done with ants then surely it can be done with dogs on a smaller scale probably.
