  1. This is no small deal. I'm surprised the company still denies any fault of its own, and instead continues to point the finger at its users and "bad passwords." As a user of TeamViewer at work and home, I'm sad to have to uninstall it and find something else, but I'd rather use secure computers that run software by companies that care.
  2. My older brother received C&C as a birthday gift in 1997. I watched him play it, and I really wanted to play, so eventually I did.
  3. Cool caves, waterfall, river, and plenty of lush greenery. RockTrap's appeal is the prettiness of the map, at the expense of the more fun/diverse gameplay available in other maps, imo.
  4. It will make Soviet rushes flanking the Allies around that pile of rock much more intentional by giving them a solid target. Go for it.
  5. Removing one silo might be worth a shot. Do consider it'd cut their funds in half, which wouldn't only affect mech/lb spam. Engineers, snipers, captains, rockets, and even vehicle-stealing spies would all become more scarce. Still, I might try it, as Soviets are very hard-pressed to win any game right now where there are just a few competent Allies, and I think Raptor is right about the sd, aa gun, and rpad not being priority targets. When I'm on Allies I typically find myself in excess anyway, unless the silos are dead. If cutting the silo proves to be too much nerf, however, you might try rebuffing them in other, less drastic ways to reach a happy middle (e.g. bringing second sd back or even adding a reinforcement or two).
  6. Looks nice. Are you planning to smooth out the terrain edgeflow marked in red below to be more like the edgeflow marked in green below? The model/alpha blend curves will look much less squarish, giving the map more of a custom/sculpted look (rather than the "I z-pushed a plane" look), and it'll reduce the places where confusion arises from "can I climb here"? I'd also recommend you try working with slight elevation differences within the bases, especially considering they're so spread out. It goes a long way, visually, and that slight uneven feel can make combat that much more interesting.
  7. "Expensive loss" has always been a risk of LSTs and transports in general, but players who want to try it may consider that risk worth it.
  8. #2, King of multiple hills. -Far away from spawns, so it shouldn't be impossible. -Different from current domination maps. -A unique objective.
  9. It's nice that a lot of the map issues have were ironed out so that the map makers can get back to actually crafting new content.
  10. I can also help you learn mapping, MPRA2. Do you have Teamviewer? Send me a PM if you're interested.
  11. The repair tool range was originally longer, which allowed technicians to repair barracks mcts from outside the building.
  12. Actually it was intentional because I wanted to respawn and remove the hedgehogs with an engineer. Funny capture though.
  13. That will probably require creating a completely different model, which will need to be placed map by map on all these maps. That's not a huge task...
  14. I wouldn't mess with the package cache. Try repairing instead. To do this, go to the button that you would normally use to update but hit repair instead.
  15. If you get that error, try installing this. Sorry it wasn't included in the patch. https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs#d-visual-c
  16. "solved by crouching" If you're wanting to bunnyhop, though, I say glhf.
  17. This one takes me back. Can they figure out how to get up here???
  18. The last time I played C&C games over dialup, I was a teenager, probably half my current age. I remember needing to fiddle with it a lot to get it working. And this was back when dialup was the thing. Nowadays I'd have no idea what to expect, or if it'd even work, considering the patches that the games have gone through to add support for the more progressive internet forms.
