I forgot about this thread until today. I'm glad to see that a lot of positive discussion and new ideas came out of it! Was the donation a troll too?

Your ipad is obviously the problem. -
Its probably going to be generated by either php or aspx, something else that we can't see by viewing the html unfortunately. I bet some of our awesome folks here can figure out how to reproduce something similar though. It does look nice...

W3D Hub Who's the genius who thought this would be a good idea?
Einstein replied to NodGuy's topic in W3D Hub Discussion
Right. I'm not sure what the problem is exactly, but a wild guess in the dark would be that the reborn theme is missing some code that exists in themes in the upgraded forum, or possibly the customized bits of the reborn theme have somehow broken these new additions. Just a theory, I really have no idea. But if you'll look at the burn-your-eyes-out default theme, you'll notice that it displays these emojis correctly. -

So the forum upgrade which took place earlier today had some.....side effects. Last time it broke the launcher, so I think we should be thankful, all things considered -
We have temporarily disabled this update until we get things sorted out. Thats why you're seeing that happen.

A Path Beyond Was I supposed to be able to get here?
Einstein replied to GaryOak's topic in W3D Hub Discussion
I think I'm falling down on my testing duties... I discovered this like a year ago and just ignored it because I also thought it was useless at the time Good thinking to report it though Gary! -

I didn't forget Emerald Productions anyone?

You won't get far, I assure you (context required) They are the same project, just "Reborn" was the first name it held. The project as a whole is just vastly different now than in the time when it was known as Reborn, so because of this some feel that it should go by its new name when referenced unless you are actually referencing the super old versions of the project. Thats what I gather anyway. My guess is because it is obviously better now than it was then. Much like RenAlert/APB.

Work In Progress [UPDATED]W3D-Asterisk Connect Tool (beta)
Einstein replied to Einstein's topic in Community Creations
Right....so I had some time to fix/add a couple more small things. v0.46 Added warning dialogs when deleting games, profiles, and IRC profiles. Added an extra confirmation step for some items in the Help -> Reset menu. Added code to force the names of Games and Server Profiles to be unique (disallow exact duplicates). Design choice notes: For simplicity's sake, I have chosen to not attempt to disallow the user to delete saved items in the Games and IRC Profiles lists even if those items are currently associated with a Server Profile (this will break the associated profiles). There are warnings, but the user may do as they wish (since they can manually edit the file anyway). I have also chosen to not force uniqueness in IRC Profiles. Due to the way it is coded currently, this makes sense as these profiles do not have actual names but rather are identified by a concatenated string of all contained information, minus the password.- 39 replies

Not against the tab thing, but having them ingame would be valuable as well. What if there is a question about them ingame? GOTTA LEAVE NOW Nah! Add a bot command like !rules that displays all da rules in the green PM text! It would also be accommodating to the multiple servers with different rule-sets situation. (I hear things like this are also pretty simple to do, and they don't require dp88 either)

Work In Progress [UPDATED]W3D-Asterisk Connect Tool (beta)
Einstein replied to Einstein's topic in Community Creations
v0.45 Added menu option to run auth sequence manually (for when somehow it fails the automated run, or the bot restarts and requires auth once again). Improved code for producing error messages at game launch. Fixed bug where IRC "None" profile might not be selected under certain conditions for profiles which have no IRC profile. A smaller update than usual. I'm not actively working on this right now, but I figured I would go ahead and release my progress since the last update. Enjoy!- 39 replies

@thedisclaimitory Can we not? Please?

A great idea no doubt, but wasn't it planned to have the rules displayed ingame somewhere as well? A help-like screen or something?
-
We don't like that bit either. The feature exists but IPB4 dumped BB-code in favor of raw HTML, so having that enabled for all users creates some obvious concerns. If you need help with formatting though, any admin or staff-mod can fix it in the code. Here are a few more I meant to add. A couple simple flash games and a 16-bit game from windows 95, great for killing time at work Feed the Reddit Alien Super Fill Up Jezzball - You'll need an older OS in a VM or otherwise a 32-bit OS to run this. It's 16-bit, nothing I can do.

We need a place around here to share free non-C&C games! I'll start this thread off with a couple of my favorites from when I was a wee lad. Anyone can post here as long as the posted content follows the forum rules! That basically means nothing illegal, warez, etc. You know how to be good, so do it. Also please do not upload what you are sharing to the forum itself. Please use some other external file host. For the time being, I'm just using either my OneDrive or Google Drive. You can easily do the same. Please limit discussion in this thread to avoid clutter, and please please please do not criticize my choice of free file hosts. I realize that some of you don't believe in "free" file hosts but please discuss that elsewhere. Hasbro Interactive - Risk (1997) City Interactive - Demolition Champions (2003)
