  1. Bant for 2 counts of team hampering
  2. I would absolutely be interested I don't have a huge amount of time to help contribute to the strategy part of it right now but I'd still love to see what everyone comes up with. As far as keeping it organized, I personally would like to see it here in a dedicated thread. I can pin and lock it and allow editing when things need to be added or changed. But feel free to use what ever method you want, thats just something I can provide here
  3. Yeah....I think we've decided to keep this fellow. Can't seem to make him go away and he isn't bad company
  4. It wasn't intentional and it followed the direction of the thread so no problem in this case. Anyone else can still come along at any time and tell some funny skirmish story without it making the thread feel weird. I haven't done much N64 emulation, just one Metroid game...or was that a SNES game...? anyway...Yeah you'll find funky bugs like you said with frame rates all over the board and weird controls. But if you use a nice enough device for it and use a controller of some type, it can lead to a really nice experience. I had to manually map I think maybe 2 buttons for the metroid GBA games..? It wasn't bad at all. = = = Back on the intended subject of this thread, I have a story that I totally forgot about until now. Its from the RA3 campaign but it tells the same way as would a skirmish story. So, you get some new superweapons in RA3, which are pretty cool. The Orbital Drop was always one of my favorite super powers. I don't remember the mission but it was toward the end of the campaign I remember and....the thing glitched out! Infinite freaking Orbital Drop power for zero cost and zero recharge time!!! After I noticed that the icon lit right back up after using it one time, I tried it again....and got a free one! So I spammed the crap out of them! And it just kept on giving them to me haha Took me all of a couple minutes to completely destroy the whole base that I had not even mounted a first assault on yet. Good times....
  5. I am in no way an expert on this, but I believe this actually has more to do with the engine's net code and how "tolerant" it is of high volumes of latency. Just a hunch.
  6. Android is one of the most powerful emulation platforms out there. Lots of the older consoles tout primitive siblings to the same type processor that most android devices ship with today (most of them had ARM architecture chips), so the "emulation" is just a matter of making some adjustments to the existing environment rather than having to create a completely different one. This is why the old games run so well on android! I play GBA games on my nexus player on my 55" TV I highly recommend this to everyone else too! And if you have a PS3/PS4 controller, you can use that too!
  7. What are the brotherhood doing in my woodz?!? :toot:
  8. Its one of those words that gives everyone a lisp Also, I found my spaceship!
  9. He needed that one perfect angle....
  10. Its the reason you should apply to be a tester And Hell! You forgot about Hell!
  11. These like buttons aren't big enough for the two of us.
  12. You fiendish fiend you That would indeed be hilarious.
  13. HOLY CRAP CRUISERSSSSSSS AAAAHH!!! Thats cool that the logic might actually be possible one day! I bet if you ever got it working as intended and got a model, you could probably stop work altogether
  14. RA1 allied campaign mission 1. All about me baby
  15. I'll just leave this here. Enjoy Video
  16. This has long been a complaint that has been brought up on occasion. In RA_HostileWaters, Raap addressed this in the Advanced Sub Pen by placing grated walking platforms over the water where the sub spawned. Because you have to actually jump on top of the sub to get inside (don't know if the entry point can be easily changed because of water logic in W3D, I feel like there might be some funky reason why not), he decided to make the opening in the grate small enough that you could safely stand on the sub without falling in the water. I have yet to see someone lag into the water while trying to enter a sub in that particular building. Maybe its possible that the standard Sub Pen could undergo a slight overhaul in which some similar grates could be added to prevent this in a similar fashion? Shouldn't be too difficult. As far as the ladders underwater, that might also depend on how well the logic for those components play together. I don't have any knowledge of how these things work, I just remember past instances in testing where water totally screwed up something that otherwise worked absolutely fine, ie gap clouds. I'll let pushwall or someone else more knowledgeable than myself speak on this though
  17. Interesting idea for sure. I would like to see how it plays out. Only thing I might have a concern about though is the projectile blockers. Since the objective here is to obstruct vision, as well as clear b2b shots, why not make it a taller plateau, almost like the one in the middle of RA_Under? But without the rest of the mountain of course. Just a taller version of what you already did there, to the point that it would be really difficult to fire over it effectively. And if the top were infantry-accessible, it might also give infantry another place to explore and scout from (and get v2/arty sniped of course ). This might piss folks off a little less, especially newbies who are expecting to be able to fire over it.
  18. So its not April 30 anywhere in the world anymore right? The site is still up wut? (I didn't expect an immediate shutdown on May 1 but i expected something to change...)
  19. lolwut didn't know it was a competition
  20. An interesting thought. The only problem I foresee is that a player goes AFK......and then forgets to come back and gets kicked for being AFK But this seems like a good topic for discussion. What do others of us think?
