  1. Boss Nass is a boss. change my mind.
  2. When you're a GDI Soldier in Mission 1 of Renegade
  3. Already found a bug. Loaded up a skirmish match on Volcano and when swapping between first and third person views, the "firing" muzzle flash on the rifleman's AK-47 would always trigger upon entering first person mode like such. It also appears to happen to every soldier in the game who is currently holding a weapon. IE if a shock trooper has his shock rifle out, it'll be the tesla discharge effect upon switching to first person, shotgunners have muzzle flash upon switching to first person, snipers, same thing, pistols, and machine guns.
  4. If I am correct, wasn't the Soviet Union a giant monster?
  5. CUP Units should give you all you need for the vehicle portion.... (As I see its in the required items list) Guess I have a reason to install Arma and the 300GB of mods again I suppose...
  6. We wont be able to pick up his transmissions anymore...... Guess we can't secure that beach-head after all... RIP
  7. So uh, Scud Storm refuses to work.....

Was really hoping I could push some popularity into it so it could get running again.

Rip flying as a particle cannon beacon......

  8. Eh, I suppose I'm obliged to take part in this even though I'm not a fan of "super hero" stuff.
  9. Renegade X should get a fully fleshed out singleplayer re-imagining of the original renegade. I'd support that. it'd be pretty funny if Renegade X got a cosmetic lootbox system though. Take a chance to get a cool Rifleman camoflauge but you end up getting a SBH skin that you'll see for all of 2 seconds when you fire your laser rifle.
  10. Step 1. Download the W3DHub Launcher. Step 2. Install ECW and Interim Apex (because people usually play that) Step 3. Get bullied by Testament and Co. (they dont actually bully you, its just how they show their love) Step 4. Meet Fraydo and Jeod, then become a filthy weeb. Step 5. enjoy the W3D Experience. Edit: I forgot to mention, always punch the deer and cats in ECW.
  11. I do enjoy a good trip to bluehell in 15 FPS if your helicopter sneezed near a tank on a service depot.
  12. I boycott this until CamosCrossing gets fixed. I want my Manya/Medic hill rushes. other than that, I'm pretty hyped for the re-release of "Beta"
  13. the C-130 Hercules... I'd rather have a jet that looks like the one from TD than the Renegade C-130.
  14. I do happen to have the only available version of that mod. Its actually from the C&C 3 Tiberian Dawn mod. I really wished the mod would progress but I believe it kinda died after its first release. This is what the AGT actually looks like ingame. https://imgur.com/a/QnwAX0d sorry for the imgur upload... my normal Giphy uploader wouldnt work, and I cant be screwed to edit the video, save it, then hope it goes through the upload. Also, heres the closest thing I can get to a render of the TDR AGT... I cant really go through another 30 hour install/move/copy process for Generals..... Not now... Anyways it looks a bit renegade-ish. Since we're on the topic of Tiberian Dawn... Please, I'm begging you.... No Renegade airstrip please... Thats all I ask of you to do.
  15. But..... Glacier was one of my favorite maps.... I'll give you something to say "Lord, anything but this" over... Hourglass. With helicopters. and high tech units. and a GAP generator.
  16. Alright, so after copying my renegade install, "downgrading" it by repairing the game, then installing SS 1.01... Here we have both a quick look at the AGT, and the Obelisk. AGT: Obelisk: There are also some old vehicle files, like correctly camoflauged tanks for GDI. (Nod is red, and the attack cycle looks like a hot wheels car....) Also each vehicle does look a tad different from the APB/Renegade models. Oh I can also get a view of a full MCV as well as Tiberian Silos, but I'm not sure the MCV is a priority, and I'm sure the silos have a better model than one from like 2004. Right, so note to anyone who wants to play this.... make a backup of your renegade files with the most recent scripts, put it on a USB, and pray that your install didnt get corrupted. I had to go through and modify my renlist and some of my core game files just to get it all back up to the way it used to be... So I'd do that if you dont want a huge headache 😛
  17. Not to my knowledge. And yeah, the sprite looks pretty awkward. We'll be going off of the render, and we'll have to use some imagination. The only TD AGT render I was able to actually see a full 360 view of was the one from the Sole Survivor mod. I could go and grab a few screenshots of the AGT to use as references to make a happy medium between the TD AGT and the closest 3D rendition of it. Might make things a bit easier instead of just building one from that one image and some imagination.
  18. Honestly, the only reason to have interiors for the defensive buildings is so you can repair them safely and faster with an indoor MCT. Other than that, to me I just think its not going to kill gameplay if interiors weren't added, it'd just be a convenience so us repair whores/base guardians who suck at combat could actually repair the defenses without constantly being sniped or shelled in the open.
  19. As for the AGT, at the moment I really don't see a reason to add an interior as what would you guys fit in there to make it look nice, or make it look "canon"? The last time I checked, I don't believe the AGT had an actual interior, and those blue glass looking panes on top fold out to launch the missiles. The missiles have to come from somewhere right? If an interior was to be added, I'd just say have an elevator go up into a small observation room below the missile doors that holds an MCT, a Purchase Terminal, and maybe some radio/electrical equipment. I've done a little searching, and none of the mods for C&C 3 that I've played or seen have had that obelisk as a model. Plus theres also what looks to be a Nod STW power plant behind it. I'm on the fence, but its either a modded map, or from the campaign somewhere. If we're going for Obelisk size, I'd probably say it shouldn't be any smaller than a normal tree. maybe scale it down just a tad from the Renegade Obelisk, see if it fits, and fine tune the size from there.
  20. Oh don't get me wrong, I knew it was going to have balance issues.... *cough* flak trooper *cough* as well as having multiple bugs. I just didn't think the Forgotten would have such High Tech borderline RA3-like units. I figured the Psy Wave SW being instantly charged was a bug, because that would just break all balance whatsoever. Nonetheless I'm still hyped for the mod to improve. Honestly my biggest issue with the mod is the war floater.... Its just... not.... no.... just no.
  21. The only thing going for Renegade X now is the looks..... Ever since the original dev team stopped patching, and that new team took over..... The game went full retard.... Base shields and non repairable buildings, inconsistent weapon damage, VERY quick games because explosives do way too much damage to building MCTs, etc.... But uh, Tiberium Essence 2.0 just dropped a few days ago, so we have the forgotten faction..... However the units are just borderline ridiculous like in RA3.... Floaters with bunkers strapped to them, tractors with 90mm guns, repair kits (they are the only way to repair other vehicles after you research the repair upgrade, aside from a repair ability.) Oh did I mention they are the MBT for the Forgotten? instead of a scrapped Medium tank or even a Titan Mk I that has a jury rigged cannon or even a chaingun on it? So they got Tiberium obelisk tanks, a Battle Bus that is unarmed but has a rocket pod on top of it. They have a Technical with a cannon on it, but its actually a machine gun. A few artillery units that I never touched, a smaller MARV that actually looks pretty cool, oh and before I forget.... THEY HAVE A SUPERWEAPON THAT WHEN BUILT, IS INSTANTLY CHARGED. Last I remember, the Forgotten were rag tag groups of tiberium mutants that scraps their own shit together using old tech.... I know they probably have technology, but it just seems a bit much when you have a tank with a giant blue tiberium crystal in the gun barrel that shoots out a ball of obelisk laser....... Anyways, its a pretty fun mod. Oh and Contra got a final .009 release. Doesnt really do much but some new units, and a few aesthetic changes to some units....
  22. actually, you know whats funny? I did a little looking into the infantry build icons, the PDF Manual of the game, and some screenshots of infantry used in the TD Cutscenes and... The flamethrower literally uses an M3 Grease Gun which is weird I seriously don't know why they'd do that aside from not being able to use an actual flamethrower. (the chem warrior also uses the M3) Looking at a CG rendition of a Flamethrower: I believe the correct model of the flamethrower to be either an M1A1 American made Flamethrower or the LPO-50 The Minigunners use the Gau-3, Calico, M16. Other than giving a "sidebar selection" option for the "rifleman" unit, I cant see how randomly giving someone one of the 3 guns would work without complaints of "balance". I would however, model each gun to have a slight damage value difference, fire rate difference, magazine capacity difference, etc to balance out each weapon and make it so that not everyone just (for example) chooses the Gau-3 because it fires faster or does more damage. (which to my knowledge, all 3 weapons serve with 5.56mm ammunition in the TD universe) On the Commando however. To keep it "as canon and fun as possible", I would just give the commandos a variation of a sniper rifle/battle rifle, and instead of the SMG you mentioned earlier, give them a slightly tweaked Cobretti AR-70 with a silencer on it. the AR-70 isn't non-canon to the TD universe, and was used during the first tiberium war, however wasn't widely used outside of commando forces until late-war (near when Renegade took place). the Cobretti would use a 12.7mm round, which would do slightly more damage against infantry. I would also suggest giving it a 50 round drum magazine to balance the gun out. Apologies for the images being all over the place.
  23. Actually that might not be a horrible idea. You guys remember "Paradox Equation"? Pretty fun mission... Minus doing the first half of the mission with just infantry because #NeverenoughOre. We (as in the mapping/modding community, not myself because I have no talent whatsoever other than complaining ) could kind of make a very heavily modified map (on or off the moon) in which the Allies have fireball hinds, soviets get bomb yaks, tesla light tanks, gunboat heavy tanks, etc.
