  1. oh um, just a sidenote.... the ranger goes absolutely ballistic when you reverse and turn at the same time....... OH! I also figured out that the Hind in Red Alert, is actually a modified version of the Mi-24PN/Mi-35. Originally, the Mi-24PN didnt have a fully rotating chaingun turret in the nose, but a mountable weapon varying from a fixed dual 23mm cannon, to a chaingun fitted either in the nose, or on the right side of it. so technically, the way the Hind is rendered in Red Alert, the turret did not have a full 360 degree circle of fire around the aircraft, but instead a small 45-70 degree cone of fire in FRONT of the aircraft, (hence why it needs to face it's targets in RA1) or you know, I could be thinking too much about it.......
  2. I believe the early versions of the Mil series of Hind had fixed landing gears. Take the Mi-24PN for an example; " The PN version has a TV and a FLIR camera located in a dome on the front of the aircraft. Other modifications include using the rotor blades and wings from the Mi-28 and fixed rather than retractable landing gear. a prototype of which carried out its first flight in 1999. THe Mi-24VM was more ambitious, but too expensive for the Russian Army. Mi-24PN is equipped with Raduga-III, a night observation sight system, integrated into a Zarevo infrared imager. " straight off the globalsecurity.org site. but I'm assuming since the game is based in a technologically advanced and alternate WWII, the Hind either didnt have a retractable landing gear, due to tech reasons or practical reasons, or had a fixed landing gear because reasons..... the Mi-35M also had a fixed landing gear, so maybe this one is the one they based the Soviet Hind off of.

      Sadly I don't think I ever saw this happening from bullets but I believe I have seen it in BF3 YouTube montages.

I do understand the frustration of last millisecond saves by 1 or 2 engineers getting to the MCT and bringing a structure from 1% all the way up to 70% in 10 seconds so, going with Raap's idea, personally I think the Wrench should be a 1 time use (per buy to mimic RAelism) that can repair defenses anywhere by 10-35%, Main Structure (non MCT) 5%, any MCT 10-20%, and should half disarm a flare. as for capturable structures, it should just insta-cap a structure. as for the repair tool, it could be anything, from a gold textured repair tool, to an actual repair tool (blowtorch or etc.) of sorts... (if we are going the cell phone route, make it a laptop like the HackTops in Rebarnz). It probably would be a good idea that the Engineer Repair Kit/Tool to do around 10-30% more repair than the standard techie tool. that's just something I'd like to see at least tested out or looked over... If something like this isn't possible, then just limit the repair tool to 1 25% repair to MCT per buy, and give the engineer a stronger repair tool as stated above...

  11. Coming back to Crysis Wars (The new game that Genesis would be made on) for some reason my rig cant play that game for shit, but it can run ARMA III on ultra default with around 15-73fps.... This damn computer confuses me.......
  12. Its a bit depressing that following the Tib-Genesis FB page, and Moddb page, they really havent...... posted anything regarding the mod..... Also since I recently became part of an ARMA III (Halo OPTRE now turned RHS) Community, I was REALLY hoping there was some kind of, you know.... LIVING C&C mod, however most of the C&C related mods are pretty dead nowadays. welp #makeC&Cmodslivingagain

  16. OH BOY! Another update....... welp...... guess it gives me a reason to force me to stop playing World of Warships/ARMA/Battlefield, and come back to APB to ragequit once again..... I cannot stay too long, as its not a good idea to leave Kongou Dess without use for long periods of time........

I'm digging that idea but what if we added a stage system to it, example: Team Donate 1500 for stage one repair - 15% repair rate 3000 for stage two repair - 30 % repair rate 5000 for stage three repair - 45% repair rate Or something along those lines with an adjustment to the rates of course so a bit like upgrades to the conyard like what kaskins and dblaney are doing with Imperial Age? never fully thought about that because of balance issues but that seems like a better idea than scripting out a timed repair sequence and different values for each building during that sequence.
  22. It's NOT a helipad as you are used to, they are purchase landing pads, with no refill capabilities. The reason I added them was to better communicate to players where aircraft land on purchase, and avoid a lot of "accidental" deaths. good idea, now I dont have to be crushed when running by an actual helipad when someone decides to buy something.
  23. one of my original ideas were; either have a repair terminal inside the conyard which costs some good amount of money (example being: $2700) to activate an "advanced repair system" timed ability that lasts for 3 minutes, and has a cooldown of 7 minutes (gives the ability some balance in terms of spam reduction, and gives a slightly hefty price to keep your defenses up and running) kind of acts as a "golden wrench" of sorts, but repairs defenses 65% of that which a GW can in 1 lifetime, and 50% for main base structures. (again all example percentages) losing the power plant (if there is one) renders the terminal locked and unavailable to use (which will make power plants a bigger target, and something more valuable to defend on low tech maps with a conyard). or, the conyard can just repair buildings 20% faster, and defenses 50% faster, and if taking damage, will not allow any building to be repaired by the conyard until it stops receiving damage for 20 seconds so it can begin repairs again I just want defenses to be kept alive longer........ (;-
