  1. Just a few more useful tips of new features in Delta. -Your radar blips that are above or below you will now tell you whether they are above you, or below you, rather than just getting smaller and you not being sure where they are. -Standing still or crouching (including crouch-walking) will take you off enemy radar and make your name disappear. -Tanks receive varying damage depending on what parts you shoot (hitting the back does more damage, so aim for that if you can, but settle for the sides if you can't). -Supply trucks refill C4. Great for Engineer or Tanya rushes. -Bases that use tunnel basements typically have team-locked doors to accompany them, but spies can assist their friends in getting through Soviet doors (an underused feature that's extremely useful on KOTG). -Just a nicety, but gap bubbles can now be seen into from the outside by friendlies.
  2. Hi Mike! You look familiar. It's up to opinion, but frankly I think the game is at the best it's ever been! Hope you enjoy, and stick around a bit!
  3. Successful white V2 rush on the enemy refinery! All thanks to Silverlight. Successful waiting around before rushing the power plant! All thanks to Silverlight.
  4. If we lightmapped the building interiors, it could potentially be possible to the point of seeing your surroundings respond appropriately to lighting changes, but infantry themselves will still cast shadows from the LE-placed/proxied light objects.
  5. Fixed with what? Is it an updated exe or scripts? Whatever it is, it hasn't come to ROTR yet, as playing last week, just about EVERY game ends early with a desync. Frankly, any update that fixes the desyncing problem should have been hotpatched into every popular generals mod as soon as it came to fruition.
  6. I'd totally be there, if I was available. Only problem though is the desyncs. Soooo many...
  7. What about RPGs doing a little extra damage to submerged?
  8. This would be moot because anybody who wanted to extend a stale game could extend a stale game. That was removed because people would rail on it too much. Certainly it wouldn't be impossible to make the command only available in certain situations. Perhaps past a certain elapsed time or whatever.
  9. Of course you start this thread right after my birthday. Oh yeah, happy birthday!
  10. Maybe I shouldn't be the guy to say it, but perhaps the time limit could be increased on certain large maps, like KOTG? From what I remember, they used to be 35 min instead of 30. Today I was able to destroy a couple defenses and both gap generators, but I felt with more time I could have accomplished more. There are also so many routes to take and potential things to do that it rarely gets boring. At least for me. Sincerely, the biased guy.
  11. I think it would be to clear mines. Basically engineers can detect them, but what can they do currently? Pistolwhip them? Clearing charges might be a good idea. Maybe even a slightly larger blast radius that'll take care of a small group of mines.
  12. There are all sorts of great freeware programs out there. Why pay for a third party app when I can do the same function with freeware that I'm already familiar with? Imgburn, teracopy, everything search engine, faststone image viewer, daemon tools lite, etc. Why pay for support when I don't need it?
  13. A definite problem for Allies on Under is when Soviets mine all the field tunnel exits and other openings and then guard the mined entrance of the Allied base with Shock Troopers. The poor guys can't leave their base. Happened today and I felt totally useless.
  14. I see what you're saying, but "too long" is a really relative term and could mean "upgrade immediately" or "upgrade at the last minute before ALL support stops." Some of us aren't always installing new applications, and some of us like using old applications for whatever reason. I guess the biggest supporting example of this would be 3DS Max 8 and LevelEdit.
  15. It certainly does me some good, since I prefer using Windows 7.
  16. Use the w3d importer to import w3d files that you exported from gmax.....
  17. Use the w3d importer. Some modeling program proprietary functions won't carry over, such as quads/ngons, grouping, colors, layers, modifier stacking, etc. I've heard talk that animations aren't perfect either, so you'll want to babysit that. I haven't done any research on bones and hierarchy, so no guarantees there. The meshes might be cut up as well, so weld vertices and fix any broken smoothing. Most other things are held intact, however.
  18. The server ip should be located in a file on your computer either called server.xml or servers.xml. Run a search for that file and you should find the ip inside.
  19. It's already ingame and you know it.I think that's the point.
