  1. Paratroopers are most likely going to be a thing (consult OWA for more info on that), the Grand Cannon will certainly appear, and garrisoning won't work like it did in RA2, if we implement it in some fashion.
  2. Especially considering their... *ahem* relationship in the comics...
  3. If we're going this route, I might also mention the fact that Cap has Scarlet Witch. One time in the comics, she said, "No more mutants," and all of the mutants in the world disappeared.
  4. Aside from bugfixes, balancing, and map implementation, APB is more or less done. If Pushwall decides otherwise, I'm sure it'd be in the form of a public announcement, but I highly doubt that's going to happen.
  5. It's coming to it, friends! With Captain America: Civil War just around the corner, it's time to ask the big question: Whose side are YOU on? For more information on each side of the debate, check out these videos: And, finally, check out the latest trailer: So vote and discuss!
  6. Here's one that just happened: So I'm going through the Yuri's Revenge maps on FFA vs AI because why not. In my last match I decided to eliminate the last enemy base with a Tanya. It worked, of course, but not before they launched a Spy Plane. Which left me baffled, as I'm desperately searching the map for the last unit, until I notice the plane just as it exits. Then I get the message "Player defeated. You are victorious!"
  7. How do you explain the Arizona memorial and the Iwo Jima statue in Red Alert 2, then? I know that it would've essentially been suicidal to attack Pearl Harbor, but evidence shows that it did happen. The question is why, and how did it end?
  8. Pick one. Last I checked, blockades (shore shellings not necessary) are far less destructive than A-bombs.
  9. In my personal opinion, it went very similarly to our WWII, but since the US didn't have to dedicate very much to Europe (aside from supplies and a small support force), they had much more reserves to throw at the Japanese, ending the war sooner. Also, presumably the US didn't invent the A-Bomb in this timeline, which means that they had to use a less destructive form of winning the war. My guess would be a complete blockade of Japan. I'm probably wrong, though, so keep the discussion going, of course.
  10. That seems like a good idea. That way if the field gets covered in mines, it's the Soviets fault for not pressing the initiative, rather than being forced to wait for money to come in while the field gets mined.
  11. I agree. By the time the Soviets have money for tanks, the Allies have already covered the area with mines, which pretty much makes early pushes almost fruitless. I feel like getting rid of the Minelayer would honestly go a long way. Sure, you still have the issue of rocket soldiers on the hill, but in the midst of a proper push, the Soviets could fly in a Hind and make short work of the pest.
  12. Is it possible to make both Barracks on this map specifically give 0 points for attacking?
  13. I feel like a Flame Tower on the ore hill (and a Pillbox for the Allies to balance it out) would be better, as it could provide an obstacle for blitzers without making defense too tight.
  14. I'd join in, but most of my stuff is in storage... and fanmade... and by the time I get them out it would be a necropost...
  15. Any map with Tesla Coils paint a gigantic target on the Power Plant. Otherwise it's not a big deal; although I don't think there are any maps at the moment where Power Plants do not have any major defenses to power.
  16. I'm in the same boat as Nodlied. I like being able to choose my camo options, whether I'm rocking the "classic" look or going against the grain to look cool. As an example, I prefer white Longbows simply because it looks cooler than the other camos, plus almost nobody buys them, so I can stand out visually (since I can't stat wise). Plus with some maps in the various games, picking different camo schemes would allow you to take advantage of different areas of the map.
  17. On the subject of planes, I remember (vaguely) a Yak being modeled and ready to go, with some wonky WIP fixed wing physics testing being shown off to the public. Do we still have it? I was thinking that it would be nice to allow Soviets access to an air strike. Place a yellow flare, moments later a swarm of Yaks pepper the area with bullets. Might be useful for softening up a base during an attack or checking for Phases lying in ambush.
  18. If the goal was to turn them into pancakes, I think their reaction time would still be used up by that "What the hell" moment. Although props to the few who do take a few shots, especially if they manage to do some damage.
  19. Indeed. Although it's likely that, realizing the threat of Stealth Tanks, GDI quickly prioritized the equipping of their base defenses with advanced sensors so that, by the end of the war, the majority of guard towers would have them installed in some form or another. That's fair. Probably later on. When Stealth Tanks were first deployed, I'd imagine someone walking past one would be thinking "What the hell was that?" rather than "Probably a Nod stealth tank. Imma shoot it to be sure!" Then again, I think most Stealth Tank drivers would be smart enough to avoid getting that close to infantry.
  20. I'd chalk that up to game balance or engine limitations. Lorewise, GDI probably wouldn't have sensors that advanced in your average base defense until Tiberian Sun, where they were made mandatory for obvious reasons.
  21. RA1 seems to be a war on the scale of WW1, tactics of WWII, and Cold War era tech with some outlying weird tech. This really would be best split into a separate topic, however, as it has little to do with Delta balance.
