  1. Probably, yeah. Most of Yuri's stuff are fun and awesome, but the main focus of the team is the power of mind control however. I remember that, but we found it unfair if a player permanently lost a character, especially if the Barracks was dead already, robbing their teammates of the ability to kill the Yuri clone and free their character.
  2. There's also one thing wrong with the Yuri faction in the fps perspective, the entire mind control mechanism. It's hard to make fun for players, and we still haven't come up with a good implementation idea.
  3. I'm not sure 3 or more teams would benefit the gameplay at all, until the ingame player count is above 80 at all times. I mean unless we fabricate specific rules, I don't see how we could force any teams to not make a temporary alliance with another to annihilate the third team before turning on eachother again. Since this isn't an RTS, 3 teams at the same time would probably make the gameplay a little overcomplicated. I mean it could happen on some specific maps than the 2 factions make an alliance against a third team, but that third team would not have units controlled by real players then.
  4. Yuri as a team isn't planned at all, but a few of his units are actually planned later on to be a neutral AI team guarding things on maps or harrassing both teams.

  6. Hey, welcome back! I remember a few of your concept arts back in the days. Some good memories... And man, 3+1 kids? That changes life a lot, even getting married alone does. How do you even find any time at all to play? :D Anyway, good to see you around, after 8-10 years

  10. Server rules can be server specific, so it would be a little problematic if there were 2 APB servers next week which are for the same game, but have a different set of rules. Rules could appear in the server browser next to each server though, but a tab to me would be strange for the reason I stated.
  11. It's easy to do, but weren't sure if we wanted them to be secret or not. Adding them will remove the secret, but I guess the list posted above already did that anyway.
  12. This is good. I'd add a few more images, icons from the game since it's an announcer topic, but other than that I like this a lot.

  14. I'm not sure if those Game Settings are used anymore by the Launcher. Engine.cfg comes to my mind.
  15. I already have working bot paratroopers, they appeared first time years ago and were implemented properly last year september/october. You can read more here Since then I improved the bots a lot to act like real players (spawn where players do, have names and money pool), physically get into vehicles, join transports, fly aircraft, react to radio commands, follow mouse pointed orders etc. I just don't have time to blog about it.
  16. Have you missed the ECW carryall? It can carry vehicles already (although just one at a time).
  17. It's also possible to prevent healing damage from non-teammates in the engine.
  18. How do you prevent technicians from healing enemy buildings?
  19. Duplicate armor/warheads for the two teams if you want to prevent teamhamper. But then you can do the same with Technicians/buildings.
